Mental Wellness
As a therapist with specialities in trauma and perinatal mental health, your mental wellness throughout your perinatal period is of high importance to me. Pregnancy and postpartum are the most at-risk time for a person’s mental health. My knowledge, training, and experience in this area sets me apart as a doula–we will not leave your mental health unchecked!
15-20% of birthers will experience symptoms of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) during pregnancy, postpartum, or both. Common types of PMADs include depression, anxiety, obsessive symptoms, PTSD, bipolar, and psychosis.
I have advanced clinical training in assessing for and treating PMADs as a therapist. As your doula, I can recognize symptoms more readily, conduct screenings for PMADs, provide education, and connect you to quality providers and resources in my network.
